This is an update that was written by John today. I thought I would post it for those of you who have been praying for John and Elizabeth.
Andy

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give you an update on things. Daniel is doing very well. He continues to breath on his own. He weighed 880 grams when he was borne and now has lost weight (which is normal) and is 715 grams. His waist is 19 ½ cm his height is 32 ½ cm. He will stop loosing weight in a few days. He should be out of the lights soon which will slow his rate of loss. Also he is starting on his mother’s milk today via feeding tube which will also help. His infection appears to be clearing up and they will do a test tomorrow. We feel that he is going to make it and do well due to your prayers. It seems our faith is becoming sight. We are not out of the woods yet so please keep praying. You have all been such a blessing to us, you can’t imagine. We saw one eye open up today when they turned off the lights. It was blue like Elizabeth and we wonder if it will stay blue. He has a perfect shaped head just like his father. His little cry is absolutely heart breaking and we are filled with love for our son.

We have been shown so much love and kindness by all of you and many Mexican people here. We have a free place to stay in Guadalajara now thanks to Jeff and Lisa King our language teachers from 5 years ago. The Hotel refunded our money for the month that we booked (I will always remember their kindness). Plus some very kind people have responded to help with our bills and we thank them so much. Every bit helps allot. If you feel that someone needs to be forwarded this update don’t hesitate to do so. It is hard to get everyone when things are so crazy right now. Thanks to Bethany Baptist for sending us a good quality breast pump and prayers. That’s all for now. We will try to send pictures on our next update. We also have a video of Daniel when the Pediatrician was reviving him and we will put that on facebook when we get the chance. I am going to Autlán tomorrow to pay bills and take care of some business. My sister Charlene is flying in tonight to be with us for a week. Bless her soul. It may be a couple of days until I get a chance to update since I am going to Autlan round trip tomorrow. Don’t worry I am getting better sleep and can drive perfectly safe. God bless.

Update on John and Elizabeth

A CALL FOR PRAYER!
Elizabeth gave birth to Daniel at 7:45 last night. We do not know how much he weighed but Elizabeth said he was very small. Elizabeth gave birth in our small town of Autlan. A few hours after he was born he was transported by ambulance, with John, to Guadalajara. I just got word that he made it through the 3 hour drive to Guadalajara and is now in the best hospital available. Daniel is fighting for his life. Also please pray for Elizabeth as she is still in Autlan.

A call for PRAYER!

A CALL FOR PRAYER!
Dear beloved of the Lord,

We are in need of your prayers. Elizabeth Rodgers our ministry partner that many of you met at our home Church in June has gone into Labor. She is only 27 weeks pregnant (just into her third trimester) and the baby is a bit small as well. If they are able to stop her labor, an ambulance will transfer her to Guadalajara where she will be able to get better medical care.

We ask for you prayers for John, Elizabeth and baby Daniel. John and Elizabeth had been told they could never have children so this baby was already a miracle from the Lord. Let us pray for another miracle.

We will keep you posted.

A funny video of worship music at La Roca Church

Can you tell John was a Metal head when he was younger?
