We are still here

Well I am now on my mid-term break. I am half way through the third level of classes. I meant to post last week after we got back from a short trip to Autlan but with trying to study and stuff time seemed to slip away from me.

First let me talk about the trip to Autlan.It was for the church plant meeting on Sunday. John Rodgers sent us questioner that had over 25 different questions to fill out so we could talk about them. The questions ranged to what do you think biblical the church is, what are some traditions that you would like to see the church celebrate as well as what are some ways to make the church grow. Needless to say the questioner was very intensive. The meeting was John and Elizabeth, Jessie and I, and two other Mexican women (Rick and Jo'ell were unable to attend). We knew that it could get long, so after five hours we decided to end without finishing all the questions. I walked away from it feeling as though I was a part of the ministry there. It was very encouraging to be there at such the beginning stages.

John and Elizabeth are leaving for the month of June so someone needs to preach at the church while they are gone. Rick (another teammate of ours) and I have split the month up so we both go to Autlan twice. That means that we are making at least two different trips to Autlan in the month of June.

I have started an Alpha group with the young adults at the church we have been attending. It is bit of a struggle because there is the language barrier and then also to sometimes younger people don't always want to talk or share what is going on in their life in the group. So we going to try it and see how they will like it.
